Who we are . . .
The School Fund is a non-profit, 501(c) 3 foundation that raises money to help purchase needed equipment and books for schools in Freeport School District #145. The group was established in 1983 by concerned parents and business people in the community who realized that much of the equipment and materials in our public schools were obsolete, and the School District could not afford to buy these for the classrooms. The Fund operates independently from the School District and helps to purchase materials and equipment that are not funded through any other means. Our primary objective is to enrich and extend educational programs and opportunities which cannot be funded by the school budget.
